Rodney Herring is an Associate Professor of Material Sciences in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria and Co-Director of the university’s Advanced Microscopy Facility. He designed, financed, and built the Scanning Transmission Electron Holography Microscope — a one-of-a-kind instrument capable of imaging to one-tenth the size of an atom, the most powerful in the world at the time it was created. This groundbreaking tool enabled the discovery of Earth Clean Crystals’ patented sterilization and pollution-degrading technology.

Robert Young brings a diverse background in business development, resource industries, and technology commercialization. A graduate of the University of Alberta in Urban Sociology and Geography, his early career included urban research, commercial real estate brokerage, and senior marketing roles - including serving as the first Director of Marketing for Costco Wholesale during its Canadian launch.

Through the RAYA Group, Robert has spent the past two decades leading cleantech and agrotech initiatives, with projects spanning ventilation technology innovation, vanadium redox flow batteries, EV charging systems, high-yield leafy green production, full-spectrum solar/thermal systems, and hybrid turbine technologies. With additional experience in the HVAC sector, Robert is now fully dedicated to advancing Earth Clean Crystals Corporation’s breakthrough platform - the most effective and scalable technology for cleaning air, water, and surfaces.
